The island located most south and west in the Cyclades group, Milos is famous for its statue of Aphrodite, now located in the Louvre. Also known for many other statues now found in Museums throughout Europe, Milos is now gaining in popularity not for its statues, but for it’s stunning beaches.

Similar to other islands in this Greek chain, Milos is volcanic in nature and is shaped like a horseshoe with a natural harbor in the center of the island. It is this volcanic nature, in conjunction with the over 70 beaches that are making vacationers take note of the tiny island of Milos today.

The most well known beach of all beaches on the island of Milos, indeed, in the entire Aegean would be a beach known as Sarakiniko Beach. Located on the north shore of the island. The color of the beach and the extraordinary characteristics of the volcanic features has served to make this beach, the most photographed landscape in the whole of the Aegean.
